The Complete Guide to Invisible Braces

The Complete Guide to Invisible Braces

Invisible Braces: Your Alternative to Metal Braces

Metal braces have been the only choice for braces for many, many years.  Dr. Colin Osborne understands that many Lumberton patients don’t wish to have wires and brackets in their mouth everyday. His solution is ClearCorrect invisible braces. ClearCorrect contains no wires or brackets. They are clear and convenient for your mouth and your smile.

Everyone deserves a bright and welcoming smile. ClearCorrect can make that happen for you in a matter of months. To give you overview of how pleasant ClearCorrect can be compared to metal braces, here are some facts about invisible braces:
  • Clear, custom-made, removable aligners that adjust teeth incrementally
  • Smooth surface finish that withstands clouding from wear
  • Easily removable
  • No interruption to eating or routing brushing and flossing
  • Minimally invasive
  • Sounds pretty good, right?

The Progression of Invisible Braces

Dr. Osborne will first evaluate your teeth and discuss the smile that you wish to have. When ClearCorrect is proven to be the best fit for you, impressions, photos and x-rays will be taken of your teeth to create your custom aligners. Clear Correct

After the impressions are made, a 3D model of your mouth is created so a series of clear plastic invisible braces can be custom-fitted to your teeth. Each aligner will apply direct pressure to your teeth, which will slowly move them into alignment. About every six weeks, Dr. Osborne will check on your progress. You will also be given your next two sets of aligners. The aligners are manufactured in phases, so our dentist can make changes at any time. Treatment can range anywhere from 6-18 months, but results can be seen right away.

Is ClearCorrect Right for Me?

ClearCorrect improves many of the same dental troubles as traditional metal braces, except the trays are invisible and can be removed. To know if ClearCorrect is right for you, see the common teeth problems listed below:
  • Overcrowding – There is too little space for the teeth to align normally in the mouth.
  • Large gaps between teeth – Teeth are missing or the jaw continues to grow abnormally.
  • Crossbite – One or multiple upper teeth bite inside the lower teeth.
  • Overbite – Upper teeth project further than, or completely cover, the lower teeth.
  • Underbite – Lower teeth project further than, or completely cover the upper teeth.
Keep your smile worries out of sight and out of mind by choosing ClearCorrect invisible braces at our office in Lumberton. Our patients have found this to be a positive and effective alternative to traditional metal braces.
